Plate tectonics is really cool. So are currents. If I didn’t like marine biology as much as I did but I wanted to stick with the sciences, I’d either shoot for marine scientist or geologist.
My mom was telling me about how one of her friends was saying that she’d give us an 8 month old abused (but recoverable) Bengal cat for free, even though she sells them for $2,000. Obviously I supported the idea, because I love cats and I would love to take care of it. But she kept going on about how “It’s so exotic! Two thousand dollars, and we’d get it for free!”...

And it also bothers me that they mostly — at least from what I can tell with my basic knowledge of sign language — sign SEE instead of ASL. No deaf person who’s a part of the Deaf community and who comes from deaf parents would ever sign SEE.
I wish you had the option to turn off the captions on Switched At Birth. It’s hard to pay attention to the signs when the words are covering them.
